there will be contests out there including best run and best trick off the hollywood jump
$1 to enter best trick and $2 to enter best run. winner of each event gets the pot for the event. were also gonna do a footdown tournament, only 1st place gets a prize in that and its free to enter.

Every year, me and some friends from Pennsylvania take a road trip as a way to kick off summer and catch up with one another. This year, a few Charlotte locals met up with us a few days of the trip along with some of the guys from Greenville SC.

2 years ago today one of my best friends Brett Hosley was killed in an accident in wyoming. Tons of you knew Brett, and even if you didn’t, you probably rode with him at some point between raleigh, greensboro, and boone nc. Brett was an amazing person, with one of the most positive attitudes of anyone in bmx. He was always down to ride, hang out, share a laugh or a good story. Brett was an amazing artist, and was well on his way to completing his degree in art at Appalachian State, where a memorial is located at an area on campus Brett liked to work on his art.
Everyone misses you tons Brett, but we all know that you are shredding it up, and that you always will be remembered and honored with every session we have. Rest in Peace buddy.

so word has it that the rumors of tickets being handed out for bmx at the new marsh creek concrete park in raleigh haven’t quite panned out as expected.
there’s always constant bickering on negsrc.com about the topic. officially, bikes are not allowed, and tickets are supposed to be more than $50. click over there for the newest updates on the sitch.

Everyones favorite nose manualer came into Asheville this weekend to ride the trails for a few hours. Seems like he has had quite a great weekend after dropping in on a quarter that was no longer there and knocking himself out. He then sprocket cased a landing at the trails where Anthony ended up landing on him, and kicking the back of his head. Im starting to think he liked the concussion he received in Arizona and is trying to make it a typical occurrence. Photos- Colby Rabon, and Mike McQueen

help bmx get into raleigh sk8park

the city of raleigh is working on a concrete skatepark funded under the parks & rec budget for 2009. the plans include strict rules against bmx using the park.
raleigh riders need your help. sign this online petition and put your efforts into helping the riders FINALLY get a public park in raleigh.
it’s still amazing that in 2009 this is still an issue in skatepark planning in towns across the US. Especially considering the amount of bmx influence in NC as a whole, and Eastern Bikes always representing Raleigh area.

fbm on the hookup is what he hears. crandaddy hooks up a VERY deserving kenny horton, and to celebrate kenny is throwing down a jam at his ramps in Newport News VA this Saturday. the weather is supposed to be unreal nice for early Feb. so if you can afford to go the distance, hit it up. flyer and info below.
and fully congrats to kenny. he’s one of the kindest people in bmx i think and a genuine all around shredder. couldn’t have happened to a better dude.
